SFI and Bataan signs MOA for Workforce Development
It is an early Christmas for Servicio Filipino Inc. (SFI) as they sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Government of Bataan on December 23, 2013. SFI will work with Gov. Albert Garcia in making Bataeños K to 12 compliant and career ready, thus, giving them a developed workforce.The company will give a grant assessing 10,000 students, out of school youths and unemployed for free in Bataan for three months.According to Luis Anastacio II, President of SFI, after three months they will have a post assessment and consolidation of workforce information that will give them a provincial wide research.
He also said that SFI is set to assess the career readiness skills of senior high school students for this year in Bataan.Garcia said that this initiative will educate parents with the salary scale and working conditions of other globally recognized in demand courses.
According to the 1Bataan website, SFI is officially recognized by Bataan to undertake specialized programs to enhance skills, productivity, competence and employability of the Bataeños.Garcia also said that this initiative will raise the competency and skill level of Bataan making them globally competitive. Present in the signing of the MOA are Estrellita A. Anastacio, Chairman and CEO of SFI; Luis Anastacio II, President and COO of SFI; Gina Jusay, Program Head; Mayor Maria Angela Garcia and Governor Albert Garcia.
Also present in the MOA signing ceremony were Mayor Maria Angela Garcia of Dinalupihan, Board Member Jose Villapando of the 2nd District of Bataan and Mr. Ariel Fernandez, Business Unit Head of SFI Bataan Branch.
